Based on the Superfuzz side of the Silver Rose, the Necromancer therefore takes its cues from the Univox Super Fuzz, a notoriously raucous fuzzbox that players have been using to slay audiences for years. Fortunately, the Necromancer continues the legacy by tripling the amount of knobs and doubling the switches! That’s right, it’s a six-knob Super Fuzz with two toggle switches for your tweaking pleasure. For starters, a three-band active EQ manipulates the fuzz action—a much-welcomed feature. In addition to the two standard controls of volume and gain, there’s also a bias control, which starves the pedal of voltage and completely changes the character. The mids toggle scoops the mids and is highly interactive with (you guessed it) the mids knob in the EQ. The eq switch removes the EQ from the circuit entirely, which gives the Necromancer a more raw untamed tone. It also gets LOUD(ER).
